Mixing Valves

Thermostatic mixing valves (also known as blending valves or TMVs) are used to maintain the domestic hot water supplied to the user, at a constant and safe temperature.

Altecnic offers a complete range of thermostatic mixing valves for domestic, healthcare, educational, hotel and leisure facilities. Our TMVs are variously accredited to WRAS, TMV2, TMV3 and DTC. Our range of thermostatic controls also includes anti-scald and anti-legionella solutions - use the filters below to find the mixing valve that meets your exact requirements.

About our Mixing Valves

The Altecnic TMV range covers use with hot and cold water, with inlet pressures of up to 14 bar, maximum inlet temperatures of 85°C, and temperature controls of +/-2°C.

Why use a TMV?

In domestic settings, TMVs are particularly important where young children and the elderly are present. Typically, people in these demographics are at particular risk of life-threatening scalds due to a potential lack of mobility and skin sensitivity.

The primary feature of a TMV is that it offers additional safety via a thermal shutdown mechanism. In the event of a disruption to the hot or cold water supply to the valve, the failsafe design shuts off the mixed water flow automatically.
