Efficient Products by Design
We are continuously working with our manufacturing partners towards increased product efficiency to anticipate future standards. We have a wide range of water and energy-efficient products. We are proud to have been the first to meet Part G legislation of the Building Regulations with our patented Calflow Plus water flow regulator and isolation valve. The Altecnic Calflow Plus valve is rated on the Unified Water Label Scheme.

The Caleffi Green
As a member of the Caleffi Group, Altecnic are proud to support The Caleffi Green project.
The Caleffi Green is a project strongly supported by our President Marco Caleffi.
This project was conceived with the aim of raising awareness of the role that we can all play and how we can contribute to sustainable development.
For us, sustainability means ensuring environmental, social and economic well-being for future generations by combining thermal comfort and water and energy savings, which are guaranteed by our products.
Environmental Responsibility
Altecnic is an environmentally responsible business, Investors in People accredited and proud to be ISO 14001 certified. We are committed to reducing our environmental impact across our operations, facilities, and supply chain, and we currently send 0% of our waste to landfill.
We reduce our environmental footprint through innovative product design and packaging. In 2020, we reviewed the materials used in our transit and product packaging. Since then, over 70% of Altecnic transit and product packaging is made from recycled or recyclable materials, and we have significantly reduced the use of single-use plastics across our warehouse, assembly, and packing lines.
Our Italian partner, Caleffi, recycle 100% of the packaging waste which has reduced CO2 emissions as well as improving efficiency in their warehouse.
At Altecnic, we also consciously monitor and look to reduce the amount of energy we use. To this end, in early 2021, Altecnic took delivery of a fleet of electric forklift trucks to replace older gas-powered trucks. The move means no fossil fuels and saving of 2.8 tCO2e per annum.
Francesco House
Our headquarters at Francesco House further demonstrates our commitment to sustainability. The building is BREEAM A rated and features a 94 kWp solar PV array, supported by battery storage to maximise on-site renewable energy use. To minimise waste, office materials from our previous location were upcycled and reused in the new building fit-out. The site also includes 16 electric vehicle charging points, supporting the transition to low-emission transport, and three beehives, contributing to local biodiversity.
Social Responsibility & Community Focus
At Altecnic, we take our role as a responsible employer seriously. That’s why we’re proud to team up with local charities that provide essential support within our local communities.
Dougie Mac
For a number of years we have supported the Douglas Macmillan Hospice, aka “Dougie Mac”. Dougie Mac provides all hospice services free of charge to over 3,500 patients with life-limiting illnesses each year in Stoke-on-Trent, North Staffordshire and the surrounding villages, also offering supportive care to their families and carers. Through fundraising and as the main sponsor of their annual golf day, we’re delighted to have received the Bronze supporter award again in 2021.
The Donna Louise
The Donna Louise charity provides care and support services for children and young adults with shortened life expectancy or those who have a life-threatening or life-limiting condition. It supports every member of a child’s family from initial diagnosis until a point when their help is no longer required.
It is our pleasure to support the essential work of the Donna Louise through fundraising events, donating professional services, and plumbing & heating products.
Stoke-on-Trent Foodbank
With the help of our employees, we are proud to support the Stoke-on-Trent Foodbank and hope our activities encourage other local businesses to do the same.
Altecnic have been supporters of the Food Bank since 2020, having provided food donations, volunteering support and ‘Turkey and Trimmings’ Christmas dinner vouchers annually.
