ISO 27001:2013 Awarded to Altecnic

Altecnic have been awarded ISO 27001:2013, the information security management certification, by BSI.

Why is information security management important?

With working practices changing, and particularly with the increase in remote working, information security management has become even more difficult. The updates to ISO 27001:2013 help to manage new security risks that come with changing working practices, and Altecnic have made it a priority to ensure that controls are put in place to meet the new updates to protect business and customer information.

What does this mean for Altecnic?

Altecnic’s full information security management system, and the way in which members of Altecnic work to implement this system, was assessed to conclude whether it is effective in meeting the updated requirements for ISO 27001:2013.

Adding ISO 27001:2013 to Altecnic’s already strong accreditation credentials demonstrates a great commitment to ensuring that all customer and employee information is safely managed and protected.

Matthew Lee, IT and Cyber Lead at Altecnic, stated, ‘Information security management is extremely important, and we are always looking at ways in which we can protect the information of our customers, employees, and suppliers from new threats.’

‘By meeting the new requirements for ISO 27001:2013, we hope to show how seriously we take the protection of information and data within Altecnic.’
