As with any sealed system or circuit, a safety pressure release valve is required as mandatory for safety, should the system pressure exceed its designed safe maximum. As a safety device, it is critical that the valve can be relied on to act when required, in the case of solar systems, the valve to do this must be designed to function continuously at extremely high temperatures.

All components of the Altecnic Solar Safety Valve have been redesigned or tested to be solar rated. Installers should under no circumstances use standard design or rated safety valves in solar systems.
