The air-scoop on the pump station provides air removal at the point of commissioning, but no automatic venting. The solar automatic air vent provides long term removal of air. Usually being installed at the highest point in the system, near or next to the collector, means that the valve is in the area of the system where the most extreme temperature conditions are created, so in the manufacture of this product, using high temperature solar rated components is critical. Use in conjunction with the Altecnic Solar ball valve to provide isolation so the AAV can be removed during maintenance without losing fluid.

Insulate after installation. Dust cap left cracked open for continuous automatic venting (if closed, air will accumulate in the chamber, but not be released until manually vented by opening the cap)
