DesignThe Altecnic range of automatic air vents is designed for use in conjunction with heating systems and potable water supplies. Where it is important to have a cost effective and reliable method of removing air from a system - there is only one answer - the Altecnic range of auto air vents. OperationAll of the Altecnic range of air vents work on a very simple, yet very effective and efficient principle. The air release mechanism under normal working conditions remains closed. In situations where there is a build up of air within the water supply, the float lowers within the body of the valve as the air collects, when the volume of air collected reaches a predetermined level the movement of the float causes a linkage to the release mechanism to be under tension and opens the valve to the atmosphere. As the air is released the water level then rises causing the float to rise, the linkage to relax and the valve closes again. Within the design of the float we have included an antirotation / anti-vibration feature to ensure that the performance of the valve is not affected by any external movement once the valve is in operation. The ROBOCAL range of valves incorporates a design that limites the water levels within the valve, always ensuring that the air vent is dry and thus preventing contamination. During our fully automated manufacturing and assembly process each automatic air vent is subjected to the
