Product Certifications
In addition to the organisation-wide certifications shown above, we also belong to a number of other leading schemes and trading associations, including:
The Distribution Tempering Control valve Scheme (DTC)
With the proliferation of storing water at high water temperatures i.e. above 60°C or having a storage vessel capable of storing hot water at a temperature exceeding 80°C valves capable of reducing the water supply temperature to a more acceptable distribution temperature must be fitted adjacent to the hot water storage vessel.
BS EN 15092 "In line hot water supply tempering valves. Tests and requirements" specifies the performance characteristics of tempering valves installed at the point of distribution in domestic hot water systems.
WRAS Approved Products
The Water Regulations Advisory Scheme (WRAS) Approval demonstrates that a particular product is compliant with Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations or Scottish Byelaws.
These regulations require that a water fitting should not cause waste, misuse, undue consumption or contamination of the water supply and must be 'of an appropriate quality and standard'.
TMV Scheme
The TMV Scheme is an independent third party approval scheme administered by Buildcert.
The TMV Scheme certifies Type 3 thermostatic mixing valves manufactured to meet the highest specifications required by the NHS Estates D08 standard for mixing valves for use with health care premises in the UK.
The TMV Scheme now also certifies Type 2 thermostatic mixing valves for the domestic market and is working with the Child Accident Prevention Trust to promote safe use of hot water in domestic premises.
